Expansion of enclosures nears completion with the extension of Sabe, Akyra and the Brat Pack’s enclosures. The opening of the new sections will allow volunteers to feed and water the animals from the road. With these new additions we will also have smaller containment areas that will enable us to confine the animals in the event we need to dart or evacuate. Our next project will be a one acre enclosure next to the New Mexico Pups, as soon as finances allow.

Recently, a friend of Pat and Frank, who is a wholesale representative for retail merchandise, came to Wolf with a terrific marketing idea. One of the firms she represents sells sets of beautiful flags, hand painted on rayon fabric in vibrant colors. The art below represents the designs that come on a string.

Annette, who owns and runs Earth Echoes, convinced Robbie, of Asian Arts, to manufacture a set of flags if Wolf could create the designs.

One of our volunteers, Jennifer Campbell, stepped up to the plate and created 7 amazing designs. Each flag design represents wolves at the sanctuary. Jennifer was gracious enough to donate her artwork to Wolf. A portion of the proceeds from sales nationwide goes to Wolf.
Anyone interested in purchasing the flags (each flag is 13” x 15”, there are seven to a string) can contact Pat @ 970-416-9531. If you know of anyone who would be interested in selling the flags at their place of business, they can contact Annette of Earth Echoes @ 1-800-547-6984.

Wolf would like to thank Mr. Louis Thomas, General Manager of Nestle Purina, who was kind enough to make arrangements for a donation of food to Wolf, for the animals at the Sanctuary. Although this donation will definitely help us get through the next few months, we are always looking for a new source of high quality dog food. Mr. Thomas has told us that if we should have an emergency situation, Nestle Purina Pet Care Company will help. In the meantime if you know of individuals with contacts at any dog food manufacturers, please let us know.

After many attempts to have a Volunteer Meeting, Brandy Russell, our Volunteer Coordinator, put it together and the meeting was held at CSU, on Sunday, October 24th. At the meeting, attended by 25 to 30 Volunteers, many different subjects were covered including a rewards program (discounts on wolf-related merchandise), testing procedures and promotion of volunteers through the level system. Volunteers made valuable comments and suggestions which we hope to implement soon. Volunteers will be notified of the next quarterly meeting by e-mail. If you have not updated your information with Brandy recently, please contact her at 970-224-1295, so we can keep you aware of the happenings at Wolf.

We are very pleased that our youth and school programs continue to go well. Various schools including AIM House, Grismore, Reflections of Youth, UNC, CSU, Larimer County Youth Services and Front Range Community College, among others, continue to sponsor programs and internships at Wolf.

In addition since our last newsletter, Wolf Volunteers have presented over 30 educational programs in schools all around Fort Collins, Loveland, Boulder and Metro Denver areas.
Please contact Pat at 970-416-9531, if you would like to bring the wolves to your school, service club, or business for an educational program. There is a fee for the program and Pat will discuss this with you personally. All proceeds from educational programs go to the support of the animals at the Sanctuary.

With the Holiday season approaching very quickly, we would like to wish all of you from all of us;

Happy Thanksgiving
Joyous Holidays
and
A Wonderful New Year
