The Waltz, this year, will be dedicated to Nanook, who passed in December of 2005 (see his tribute).

Every attendee at the Waltz will receive an 8"x10" print of Pat's artwork of Nanook (shown at right).

We had a great time last year, celebrating our 10th Anniversary in grand style with all of you. We also learned a tremendous amount about what we preferred and what we didn’t like quite so much. This year we will not have a sit-down dinner, but rather an appetizer buffet. We will not have a live band, but rather a DJ with volume control. We will not have a live auction, but rather have all the donated items for auction in the silent auction. Although we were not terribly excited by the charges for the hotel ballroom last year, we have had a difficult time finding alternative venues that are as nice. So, we are in another hotel ballroom again this year.

We have a plethera of wonderful items donated for the auction. Some of these include:

Outstanding Jewelry - including a pure-gold splatter pendant,
Artwork & Photography - from well-known & not-so-well
              known artists -- including a special one-of-kind 'Artist
              Proof', "Tribute to Nanook" print by Pat Wendland.

An Original Painting by Topo - a chimpanzee at Chimps, Inc. (a
              sanctuary in Oregon),
Hand-Carved Native American Black Pottery,
Dinner & Hotel Packages - from a variety of locations,
Electronics - everything from DVD players to Plasma TV's,
Custom, Hand-Made Wolf Quilt - with images of all of the
              animals who have been residents of Wolf (Queen Size).

We believe this will be an outstanding event and we are looking forwarding to meeting and speaking with every one of you. Please make your reservations early, so we can prepare more efficiently, which will mean nothing wasted and more of your money going to help the wolves. Thank you.
