Once again the Waltz for the Wolves, held this year at the Marriott Hotel in Fort Collins, was a financial success and a wonderful party.
Frank again came off the mountain to join everyone, and we all believe he had an enjoyable evening chatting with supporters and volunteers. For those of you who don’t know Frank very well, I’m sure you wonder why we make such a big deal about this. The only way we can explain it, is to say that if Frank never had to come down the mountain, it would be perfectly alright with him. I believe the word is Hermit.
During the evening guests viewed and bid on over two hundred available items donated to Wolf by our supporters. Without their spectacular generosity we would not have raised any funds to help the animals. Bidders had their choice of; jewelry, hotel stays, a week in Palm Springs, fabulous art work and the list goes on. Just as with our supporters who donated items for the auction, our supporters who purchased the donated items made this fund raiser a great success.
One of the more sought after items was a hand crafted quilt that featured photos of all the Wolf animals. The quilt was donated by Mimi and Steve Henneman.

Speaking of success -- this fundraiser would never have happened if not for the Wolf Volunteers. Volunteers convinced folks to donate. They drove miles and miles to pick up the donations, paid for their own gas, and gave up their precious days off to do it. The day of the Waltz they were there to set up all the items. Brandy was there to coordinate the set up. Donna Nayduch and Sharon Sharp placed orchids on each table to complement the flower arrangements, which they made and donated. Special thanks to Sharon Poessel and Samantha Brosch for giving up their entire evening and remaining at the check in/out table. Thanks to Tom Nayduch, Amber Rowland, Helene Harrison, Mary Eaton, Jim Mittl, Zack Lewis, Di Campolong, Laurie Heidenreich and Betsy Dean.
While we are thanking people, to the staff of the Marriott Hotel a great big Thank You, all of you were very helpful and went out of your way to make the Waltz a wonderful event.
To any of you I may have forgotten,
THANK YOU EVERYONE.
