Volunteer Spotlight
Michelle Lyons-Orman

Michelle has been volunteering with Wolf since December of 2003. During this time she has achieved a Level 3 rank at the Sanctuary. She has also completed the Canine CPR & First Aid courses given by Wolf.

Michelle’s dedication to the animals has been spectacular. She never misses her scheduled days and indeed was one of the individuals who spent the entire week at WideAwake building the temporary enclosures for that rescue effort. She has also been one of the individuals volunteering their time to care for all of the animals at WideAwake.

Michelle was also recognized several years ago at our Anniversary Celebration with the “Lunch Box” award. Although this sounds rather strange, every volunteer who comes to Wolf on the same day she does, understands the meaning. In fact, some volunteers schedule their days at Wolf based on Michelle’s schedule. She always brings lunch for everyone.

Last year she also received the “Congeniality” Award for her constant good nature and willingness to do whatever is needed for the animals.
